Government Shutdown Alert! National parks remain as accessible as possible during the federal government shutdown. However, some services at Mesa Verde National Park are limited or unavailable. Cultural sites, including cliff dwellings, are closed. Currently, the main park road, and trails leaving the Morefield Campground are open.

The Mesa Verde Visitor and Research Center, Mesa Verde Museum, Mesa Top Loop, Cliff Palace Loop, and all other trails are closed. All tours and other ranger led events are cancelled. Other closures may exist. 

The Mesa Verde Association assists and supports various interpretive programs, research activities, special events and visitor services at Mesa Verde National Park. As a non-profit partner the association provides educational material to and sponsors programs for visitors to Mesa Verde, which are funded through interpretive sales in our park stores, membership dues from those who join our association's mission, and charitable contributions.
