This heavy duty magnet is a replica of the US Geological Survey Bench Mark found at Park Point, the highest point in Mesa Verde National Park at just over 8,752.31 feet.  A bench mark is a point whose position is known to a high degree of accuracy and is normally marked in some way. They are used by land surveyors, builders and engineers, map makers, and other professionals who need and accurate answer to the question, “Where am I?”
